Agliculture
To help rural communities develop, we helped people embrace modern agricultural technology by providing various trainings and organizing visits to well-established farms for observation and learning. As the TRIP organization, we monitor their progress and assist them.
Through our TRIP TWITEZIMBERE MUBUHINZI project, we strengthened banana planting efforts in rural communities, as banana production was declining over time in TRIP's operating areas. TRIP offered training and guidance to local farmers on effective banana plant care to enhance production. Today, significant improvements in banana plantations are evident, showcasing a successful transition of people in our operating areas from traditional to modern agriculture.
People wellbeing
TRIP highly values the well-being of people. Rural development cannot be achieved when rural communities are still struggling with malnutrition diseases caused by unbalanced diets. Our campaign against malnutrition has had a large impact. We taught people in our operating areas the importance of eating balanced diets and their role in developing children's brains, especially in the first 1000 days after birth. People have adopted the habit of planting various fruits and vegetables around their homes and are urging others to do the same.
